Julie Sheridan 바카라 에볼루션 was named Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Coherent in 2022. Prior to becoming CTO, Dr. 바카라 에볼루션 served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Optoelectronic Devices and Modules Business Unit. In that role, she oversaw 바카라 에볼루션ineering, product management, and operations for GaAs vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs), InP directly modulated lasers (DMLs) and detectors, and CMOS/BiCMOS integrated circuits for datacom and 3D sensing applications.

Before Coherent, Dr. 바카라 에볼루션 held various senior management positions at Finisar Corporation, including Executive Vice President and General Manager of 3D Sensing, and Executive Vice President of Datacom 바카라 에볼루션ineering. Over the 15 years that she managed datacom transceiver 바카라 에볼루션ineering, her teams production-released hundreds of fiber optic transceiver products and achieved numerous industry firsts. Dr. 바카라 에볼루션 began her career at AT&T Bell Laboratories/Lucent/Agere, where she led the development of laser-based datacom transceivers.

Dr. 바카라 에볼루션 is a Past Chair of the IEEE Committee on Women in 바카라 에볼루션ineering and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Optica (formerly the Optical Society of America). She has published over a dozen papers, co-authored a book chapter, holds six U.S. patents, and has given numerous invited talks. In 2022, she was named an Optica Fellow for distinguished contributions to the advancement of optics and photonics, and in 2025 she was elected to the National Academy of 바카라 에볼루션ineering.

Dr. 바카라 에볼루션 holds a B.A. degree summa cum laude in Physics from Bryn Mawr College and a B.S. degree in Electrical 바카라 에볼루션ineering with honors from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical 바카라 에볼루션ineering from Stanford University.
